Thread: pl_badwater

Only played it once or twice so this is strictly first impressions but overall a VERY well made map. A LOT bigger and way more ways to flank than on goldrush.

Its only one stage but its very big and has 4 checkpoints.

The first check point requires the cart to go through a long tunnel to get there. Red must be very wary of the carts position as its easy to forget about it as you attack the other attackers above the tunnel.

The 2nd checkpoint is very close to the first but youll need to clear out the roof overlooking it before you can push the cart up.

The 3rd is goin to be pretty hard to take i think but entirely doable with an uber or 2. Again, lots of ways to flank and attack.

The 4th is of course the hardest to take, as it should be. Again, multiple ways of entry, make it entirely possible. Lots of good but not unbeatable sentry spots. Its a very wide open checkpoint so its gonna take a team effort to break it.

I cant wait to play it with a lot of teamwork and communication. I think this should replace goldrush (although i actually enjoy goldrush)

Yeah, Badwater is a great map and seems much more even than Goldrush. Is it just me or does it not seem as "complete" as the other Valve maps? The layout is done but there isn't as much decoration as the other maps?
