I was just sitting here watching some Gary's mod crap and figured. why havnt I seen anyone make a Portal Themed TF2 map? I'm not good at making maps or I would. so I'm just tossing my idea's out here.
all maps take place inside Apature science
CP style map 1
have 5 points leading down a long coridors for the first point. this would give defence a place to hold down but keeping it open enough that it doesnt turtles into nothing. 2nd point would be on the top of a 2 floor room, with entances at the top and bottum, these lead from the middle point, a large open room kinda like Mach4's except with a CP in the middle and a few pit falls.
CTF style map 1
Three long winding coridors that zig zag over and under eachother leading into the bases. bases will consist of a three rooms. middle would have a hole in the floor. one will be spawn the other will have the intel. (the intel should be swaped out for a tiny companion cube)
Push Map 1 Part1
A large U shaped room that inclines up. where the cart is a convayer with one of those energy balls sitting on it. it slowly slides up the ramp giving defence a higher ground but not impervious to decent sniper/rocket/grenade fire. maybe a small vent to allow flanking.
Part2
The cart now goes down a very long and straight line, with rooms cut out down the side of the corridor, forcing the assulting team to move up and take cover, possibly getting side swiped by someone lurking on the side.
Part3
The cart must follow a long S shape. along the corridor are rooms and windows to fire out of, at the end is a room like the end of Portal. with a fire pit in the middle. along the sides are small bunkers for the defenders to hide behind, and a Control room that they spawn from and snipers can lurk in. though Gladis is sitting in the center blocking some shots as the attackers enter.
These were just some idea's I know it would be really hard but hey I figured I'd toss the idea out there, see if someone runs with it...runs with it like a retarded child running with scissors.
