Re: cp_junction
I like this map, it is like Gravel Pit but extremely confined and smaller. Only some minor problems is that the spawn doors for A and B are relatively close together, allowing one Demoman to cover both. The low ceilings make it a bit hard to rocket jump as well.
I haven't played a round were Sentries dominated an area. It may be possible to lock down an area with a few good turrets.

Re: cp_junction
I like this map. Quick rounds whether you win or lose, so you don't feel like you're being pounded even if you lose. I like the low time limit, which encourages more aggressive play and a sense of urgency with the attacking team.
The last CP is definitely harder to cap than the first two, but so is cp_gravelpit. The nice thing about this map is that there is a definite advantage to holding out for a while on A and B, since it becomes very hard to take C with the reduced time. An aggressive team is rewarded with good time to take C and as long as they can shut down the close spawns, they'll have little problem with it.
Overall, I don't see any balance issues and enjoy this map.

Re: cp_junction
No balance problems with the map, but i dont like it at all. Its entirely too cramped, and I always felt like i was running into a wall. The map also lends itself to a lot of spam since the doorways are fairly small and very easy to cover from almost anywhere in the CP rooms.
The one thing i do like about the map is right around the CPs themselves. Some of the structures surrounding the cap zone are pretty neat.

Re: cp_junction
Id like to see this taken off the server. Tonight we ran over an evenly skilled team with nothing but medics and pyros. We capped all 3 CPs just about as fast as you could without any opposition. A good map has areas that suit different classes. Cramped areas for pyros, a sniper roost, etc. This map is ONLY cramped.

It may have been an evenly skilled team, but the map was totally new to me. I can't be too effective if I don't know anything about the territory. Lack of familiarity was probably the main reason for the loss. I played it twice tonight and had fun even though I was just running around lost.

Re: cp_junction
I don't really share everyone's hate for this map, but I have taken it out of the rotation for the time being due to frequent complaints.

Re: cp_junction
This is the map I meant to comment on before. It is cool, but very cramped. Snipers have no use and soldiers and spies are very limited.
It's a change of pace though. Maybe that's good to break up the monotony. Maybe we can throw it back in the rotation when we're all comfortable with the other maps.

Re: cp_junction
Yeah I'd like to try it out some time on our server.
