    I think that proves Santa's point. Defensive strategies like turtling will usually loose on this map. Players are good enough now that a lone Senty/Engie is no longer self-sufficient and requires support from other players. Good players can exploit that by pressuring a sentry gun in the rear which will force players to run off the midfield to back up their sentry in the intel room. If players have to constantly run back into their base the other team will probably take the midfield which will lead to a slow painful defeat.


    PS:

    More Hyrdo and Badlands. Isn't one team getting completely dominated what you wanted? That means no Stalemate.

    I think we will soon shift turbine into a load-on-demand map. We just need to find a map which Zoopy hates sufficiently to replace it.

    Everytime this map comes on it instantly destroys any enjoyment I am having from the game. Its not fun being locked into your base and being camped for 30-45 minutes.

    As I've said before, I have had countless games of turbine where it flops back and forth for the entire game and is extremely fun. Even last night, in the game which re-triggered this discussion, my team lost the middle ground at the start, almost falling back into a shell, and then had a big fight to gain ground. We eventually grabbed control of the middle, but lost our intel in the process. It was a good battle up until that point, but then it did turn into a camp-out.

    Regardless, the map is due for some time on the shelf, so you'll get your wish.

    Why put it on the shelf? I quite like it, and judging by the fact that I can only recall about 2 or 3 people complaining about it, most others seem to like it as well.

    You only like it due to the fact you always join the stacked team and the stacked team is usually the ones dominating the others in their base. That way you can sit there as a Sniper and shoot the fish in the barrel.

    How abouts a poll and seeing what forum members think?

    Some maps like Hydro, Turbine, and even Labor seem to be much more enjoyable when not played nightly. At least that's my take. I actually like playing Hydro now that it's not on every night. And after being worn out on Turbine and Labor back when they were first put in the rotation, I'm liking them again, although that's starting to wane a bit.

    So even if most people like Turbine, we can occassionally sub another map in its place if it's getting played out. Or, if most people are tired of it, just take it out of the rotation all together.
